Battery storage

Use what you generate, after the sun goes down

A battery does not generate anything. It moves your own daytime generation into the evening, when you use the most and the grid charges the most. That is the entire economic case, and it is why sizing it against your consumption matters more than buying the biggest one.

What we fit, and how big

We install SolaX and SigEnergy systems and are a Tesla Certified Installer for Powerwall. The right capacity comes from your evening consumption, not from your roof size: a battery bigger than the load it serves spends its life half empty and never earns the extra cost back.

Backup through a power cut

Wired to a backup circuit, a battery keeps the essentials running through a power cut. That is not automatic and not free: it needs a separate consumer unit arrangement and adds cost, so we quote it as an option rather than assuming you want it.

Charging from a cheap night rate

If you are on a tariff with a cheap overnight rate, a battery can charge from the grid when electricity is cheapest and discharge through the expensive part of the day. On the right tariff that can be worth as much as the solar itself.

A battery is not always the right call

A battery raises what you save each year but lengthens your payback, because it adds cost up front. If your electricity use is mostly during daylight, the money is usually better spent on more panels. Our calculator shows both effects rather than hiding the second one.
